I’m excited to speak at this year’s Society of Women Engineers conference this Thursday, October 20th. My session is titled “Don’t Leave: How to Retain Minority Women in STEM.” It is a topic near and dear to my heart as a Black female Engineer who has spent over 20 years being the minority.
Too often, I am the only one in my team, conference room, and even the building.
I’ve seen women enter STEM roles and leave for one reason or another. The change is even more dramatic with minority women.
During the conference, I will share the importance of putting action into allyship and how this is critical to retaining minority women in STEM.
My environment has drastically changed since I joined Schneider Electric, and I will also share critical aspects that have rapidly increased my sense of community and belonging at a place of work.
If you are interested in having me present at your next event on this topic or other women in corporate America subjects, please contact info@mooreofyou.com.
