An interesting fact about me is that I hesitate at networking events.
I know that may shock those who know me as an extrovert and talkative person. 
Walking into a networking event and not knowing anyone is intimidating.
I find it challenging to start conversations with strangers.
If we have a commonality, it makes it easier for me.
In most networking events, I will find one person and spend most of my time talking to them.
I know I should meet more people, so I constantly push myself to do more.I am aware of this challenge, and when I attended the Society of Women Engineers national conference this past week in Houston, I knew I would have to network.
I use the 3 tips I mentioned in the graphic to push myself to network.
