Moore Of You

Today we observe Martin Luther King Jr’s birthday, life, and contributions to world history. Many US offices are closed today in observance of his birthday and instead of having it as a regular day off, make it a day on.
One of Martin Luther King Jr’s quotes is,
“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’ “
So what are you doing for others in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr’s birthday?
If you haven’t planned anything, here are a few things you can still do:
  • Write thank you cards or valentine cards for your local veteran center or hospital or senior citizen home
  • Make and deliver care packages (snacks, toiletries, etc.) to a local shelter
  • Donate to your local charity or community center
  • Learn more about Black History. Do a craft or project centered around Black History. Read or watch a show to learn more about Martin Luther King, Jr or other leaders and pioneers of Black History. Discuss what you watched or read with your friends and family to share your newfound knowledge.
How do you plan to celebrate? We would love to hear at info@mooreofyou.com
