MONDAY MINUTE: Definition of Success
The former First Lady, Michelle Obama was quoted, “Success isn’t about how much money you make. It’s about the difference you make in people’s lives“.
What a great quote for the month of Women’s History.
It’s quotes and beliefs like this one that caused me to launch Moore Of You.
I strive to make a difference in the lives of each woman that I engage with whether through a quick conversation or mentoring over years.
I primarily focus on Black women; however, underrepresented women in general can benefit from the support, skills and network that I strive to deliver.
That’s my measure of success.
This week, I am giving back at two different events:
- The Boston professional chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers is hosting International Women’s Day Celebration: Women Leading Change for the Future on Wednesday, March 10th at 600p EST. I will be moderating a panel of women in various STEM fields. Feel free to join by register here
- University of Wisconsin Whitewater Greek Leadership conference on Thursday, March 11th at 5:30p CST. I will be speaking to students on how to maximize internships.
I also chose a quote from Michelle Obama because I was notified last week that
Michelle Obama and I are both speaking at Women in Tech World Series Online Festival 2021!
The conference is being held June 7-11, 2021. Michelle Obama is specifically speaking on Wednesday, June 9th at 5p GMT.
