We are also days away from the fourth quarter, the final stretch of 2021.
It’s time to reassess your goals for the year. What have you tried to accomplish and just couldn’t get across the finish line? Now is the time. You have 3 months.
Don’t feel overwhelmed about missed goals. We are not perfect and goals can be adjusted and they should be set to stretch us to achieve more. If you don’t reach them, redefine and set new targets.
As you close out those 2021 goals, start thinking about 2022. I know, you are saying, “Tiffany, it’s too soon!”. Well, it’s not. Businesses are in budget planning season preparing for projected sales and expenses for 2022. You should start to express development and training needs to ensure they are included in next year’s budget. Some ideas to consider are joining professional organizations, attending a conference or training course. Ask your manager if it’s feasible to include those associated costs in the 2022 budget.To assist with the financial justification, express what you plan to learn and how you will apply it to your role.
