Moore Of You

To honor the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr., make today, January 28, 2021 a day on and not just a day off.
Here’s how:
💵 Donate to a local charity or provide nonperishables to a food pantry.
You can identify local shelters to donate toiletries, clothes and coats. 🧣🧤
Many families are suffering because of reduced hours and wages due to COVID-19. So it’s not just the homeless, but it could be your neighbor struggling to make ends meet.
🧹Identify neighbors that may be less fortunate and help in their yard (rake leaves, clean snow, etc.). Your town may have a “buy nothing” or “donate page” on social media that allows you to post and give away items to neighbors in need.
✏️Learn more Black History. Do a craft or project centered around Black History . Read or watch a show to learn more about Martin Luther King, Jr or other leaders and pioneers of Black History. Have a discussion with your friends and family about what you watched or read to share the new found knowledge.
How are you making today a day on and not a day off?

  1. I love this Tiffany! Thanks for taking the time on your day ‘on’ 😉 to share these inspiring thoughts. I watched Natick’s MLK program this morning and am curious to check out the program by Natick is United happening tonight. Choosing to mentally engage instead of just lazily check out today is how I’m trying to make the most of today.
