MONDAY MINUTE: Onward & Outward Recently, I posted on LinkedIn that Friday, March 4th was my last day at Cognex. Today, March 14th, is my first day at Schneider Electric as the Senior Director of Quality for Power Products.
One question I received with that announcement was the change in companies. My move to Schneider Electric is my fifth company over my close to 25 years of professional work experience.
The trend has changed from loyalty to one company throughout your career to showing progression, whether it is at 1 or 6. The key is staying within a role to learn, improve, and move on to the next. This can happen within the same department or company. It can also occur by changing companies. You can change from associate to senior to principal… as long as the career shows how you grow by moving upward or teaching and developing others.
The key is LEARNING, GROWING, and IMPROVING not only your career but the company and the other employees you have joined.
I’m excited to start this new chapter of progression with Schneider Electric!
