Moore Of You

I often hear people recommending having a mentor. It’s advice I give my clients as well, but I also give them tips on how to ensure meetings with their mentors are impactful and how to ensure the mentorship is successful. Here are three tips to help you prepare.
📌 Set Clear Goals: Outline what you hope to achieve or discuss BEFORE the meeting. This could include specific questions, challenges, or skills you want to develop.
📌 Establish Expectations: Have a candid conversation with your mentor about your expectations, goals, and preferred communication frequency. This will ensure alignment and set the stage for a productive relationship.
📌 Be Open and Reflective: Come to the meeting with an open mind and be ready to reflect on your experiences and challenges. Be honest about what’s going well and where you need support or guidance.
Preparation sets the stage for productive, meaningful interactions with your mentor, providing valuable guidance and support in your personal and professional growth.
I also hope mentors are paying attention to this. Next week, we will discuss tips for mentors.
